The Nebraska Gamblers Assistance Program is the official State of Nebraska program that directs funds for certified problem gambling therapy to help Nebraskans who suffer a problem gambling disorder. The Program also educates Nebraskans about the nature and risks of recreational gambling and problem gambling disorder.

Problem gambling is defined as gambling to the extent that it causes emotional, family, legal, financial, or other problems for the gambler and the people around him or her.
People of all ages, races, and socioeconomic backgrounds can become problem gamblers.
Problem gambling is not a bad habit or moral weakness. It is a serious condition, but with counseling, problem gamblers can put the game in perspective and make decisions to improve their lives. We offer classes, training and support
Gambling can have a very strong hold on a person, that control can be regained with quality counseling sessions with one of our addiction counselors. Allow Nebraska Council on Problem Gambling guide you to regaining control over life.
Bellevue University has teamed up with the Nebraska Council to develop CEU classes and obtained CEU approvals from many major organizations, including NAADAC and the National Council on Compulsive Gambling.
Most offerings are self-paced, online courses. You can enter online courses at any time of day or night. Navigating the Bellevue University CEU program is easy and technical support is available should you have any problems with the online classes. Your professor will be available through email and will help you with any questions you have while you are taking the class.
The Nebraska Council on Problem Gambling is a state-wide, non-profit organization. We operate a helpline for problem gamblers and their families on a 24-hour, 7 days a week basis.
It is the mission of the Nebraska Council on Problem Gambling to increase public awareness of problem and pathological gambling, to increase the availability of treatment services for problem and pathological gamblers and their families, and to encourage programs for education and prevention.
